Here’s a little wine country wisdom for you — make sure the place where you’re staying has a hot tub to take your tasting sessions to the next level when you inevitably bring the wares home with you from the local winery. If sitting in bubbly water with a glass of bubbly in hand doesn’t quite float your boat, then how about gathering around the fire pit with a lovely glass of pinot noir? Lucky for you, this home in Santa Rosa gives you both of these options — and so much more. For a start, there’s a gas grill in the garden, so you know some burgers are going to be barbecued at some point. The interior is just as impressive. We love the soothing whites and neutrals in the grand living room — with its double-height ceiling and vast window, this is a lovely room to spend time in and there’s even a working fireplace to gather everybody around as you work your way through a cheese board. In the large kitchen, you’ll find everything you need to whip up a gourmet meal, while the leafy wallpaper in the bright dining area makes for the perfect herbaceous backdrop... to your dinner party. Upstairs, the bedrooms are just as bright and welcoming — we love the old-fashioned yet completely contemporary white four-poster bed in the master. Just like the perfect glass of wine, you'll find this property has plenty of hidden depths, too.
