A ten-minute car ride to the Eiffel Tower and part-time home to an acclaimed writer with a penchant for art and design, this apartment couldn’t be more Parisian. Minimalist, whitewashed and lined with rows of books, the spaces boast mid-century modern classics from the 1920s and 30s by designers such as Mies Van der Rohe, Marcel Breuer, Eileen Gray, and Wilhelm Wagenfeld. In the morning, while your coffee is brewing, take the thirty-second stroll to the bakery on the corner to pick up warm, flaky croissants for breakfast. Later on, explore your 16th arrondissement locale. The Bois de Boulogne park is less than a fifteen-minute walk from your front door – perfect for picnics and catching an open-air theatre performance in the summer. Artsy folk should jump on the metro at Rue de La Pompe for a three-minute ride to the contemporary exhibitions at the Palais de Tokyo. In the evening, head back to cook up a storm. Put on a Jazz CD from the collection and sip a glass of red as you prepare your mirepoix in the kitchen.
