Housed within the 15th century Palazzo dell'Antella in Florence’s famous Piazza Santa Croce, this beautiful flat radiates history and rustic elegance. Tall exposed beam ceilings and tiled floors combine with stylish modern furnishings and frescoes in the living room to create an awe-worthy first impression. We love the glass divider that separates part of the living area off as a reading nook, where picture windows proffer unobstructed views of the Basilica of Santa Croce. Start mornings off here with your morning coffee while feasting on the scenery, then head to the building’s shared gym for a workout. When you’re ready to explore, the city’s most iconic sights are all within easy reach on foot – the Piazza del Duomo and Ponte Vecchio are just ten minutes away and the Uffizi Gallery is reachable in eight. After a day of sightseeing, come back home for a soak in the blue-tiled tub, then pour yourself a glass of wine to watch the sunset from your windows. Enjoy an intimate meal beneath the beams of your picturesque pad or throw on your glad rags for a night out in a local trattoria. When it’s time to turn in, two beautiful frescoed bedrooms wait... to send you into a comfortable night’s sleep.

Local guide
About Santa Croce
Santa Croce is a trendy, architecturally impressive neighbourhood that’s less busy than the Duomo or San Marco districts, but still in the heart of Florence. Home to the eponymous basilica, and the Casa Buonarroti museum, it’s located in the eastern part of Florence’s historic centre. The largest crowds have thinned out by this point, but if you stay here, you're still close enough to explore the whole city on foot....

Brave the crowds at the Uffizi
There's a reason it's busy – from Leonardo and Botticelli through to Rembrandt, this is one of the most important collections of European art in the world.

Get a coffee at Caffè Le Murate
A combination of a bookshop, a cafe, and a gallery, this arts centre is housed in a former prison, but these days the vibe is slightly different.

Dine like a local at La Giostra
Experience the intimate and classy yet relaxed atmosphere of La Giostra. Indulge in Tuscan dishes, including the famous Florentine T-bone steak, paired with a selection from their extensive wine list.
