Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Home to Rome's main train station and the Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore, Esquilino is a multi-cultural hub with plenty of authentic Roman charm. Here, you can enjoy casual dinners at the local trattorias, sip espresso and people-watch in Piazza Vittorio and shop for international ingredients at the local markets. It's more laid-back than other neighbourhoods, but you can't beat the location – the Colosseum is only a twenty-minute stroll away, and there are plenty of subway stations, so getting around the city is no problem. Inside, the apartment is a warm and welcoming respite from the bustling streets outside. The traditional stone ceiling is an absolute showstopper, and the soft furnishings and natural colour scheme only add to the wow factor. While the living area is decidedly rustic, the sleek kitchen is completely modern, and it has everything home cooks will need. Whether you're munching on breakfast around the dining table, resting weary legs on the cosy sofa or nodding off in the comfortable bedrooms, you'll love calling this place home during your stay in Rome.

Home truths

If travelling with little ones, a cot can be provided for €50 – a high-chair is already included.

Pets are more than welcome, but there's a €10/day fee.

Instead of driving, make use of Rome's public transportation – just be sure to pack comfortable shoes as you'll be doing a lot of walking.

We think some areas of this home could do with a refresh. In particular, the sofa looks a little tired.
