Despite the name, the leafy area of East Acton is in West London – a twenty-minute drive from elegant neighborhoods like Notting Hill and Kensington. This serene, suburban home is spacious inside and out – certainly not what you’d find in the city centre. With high ceilings, sloped skylights, and French doors opening onto a lush lawn, this feels more like a country manor. The decor mixes rustic and modern features beautifully – exposed brickwork and natural wooden floors play host to abstract art and a contemporary L-shaped sofa. Same for the bedrooms, where traditional wicker bedframes sit perfectly against jazzy, patterned rugs. What we really love is the outdoor space though. Not only do you have an alfresco dining area and vast garden, but follow the pebble path to a secret shed with its own plush lounge and office. If you head out of your manor, you’re only seven minutes from East Acton tube station. Zoom towards Regent Street in just half an hour, or stay local to reach Westfield on foot in twenty minutes. Depending on how many shopping bags you end up with, you could even hop in an iconic black cab to get home in less than ten.

About White City
The history of White City is surprisingly recent by London’s standards. It takes its name from the former 200-acre complex where white stucco palaces and Venetian-style canals formed an opulent Victorian exhibition site as well as hosting the 1908 Olympics. Now an exciting area of regeneration, the district consists predominantly of low-rise residences and the mammoth Westfield Centre. With its extensive selection of high street and high-end stores, you won’t...
