A vast parkland, an extinct volcano, and a whole mile of restaurants, cafés, and shops housed in original stone buildings – these are just some of the local sights of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Just six minutes from Holyrood Park, let your stay begin in style with a private airport transfer right to your front door. In this delightful, warehouse-like space with city views, studio living never felt so luxurious. We love the subtle matching furnishings – from the wire coffee table, to the open wardrobe, dining table, chairs, and the feature lighting, there’s a harmony of black metal throughout. This contrasts beautifully with the cushy velvet sofa and chunky knitted throw on the bed. Just like this flat, the city itself has fantastic contrasts between old and new. Take a five-minute walk down your road to Holyrood Palace and its 12th-century abbey. Or two minutes in the same direction to the Scottish Parliament – a 21st-century modern architectural marvel based on an upturned boat. And for one of the most iconic sights, take a thirteen-minute walk uphill to Edinburgh Castle to immerse yourself in over 900 years of history.

About Hillside

Edinburgh is a city built around seven hills, but Hillside is not as steep as the name suggests. At the east end of the New Town and nestled just below Calton Hill, it’s quieter than the historic centre but still within walking distance from all the main points of interest. It’s fast becoming one of the most sought-after property locations in Edinburgh thanks to its central location and its aesthetically-pleasing...
