Hop in a red Cadillac and cruise eight minutes from Downtown to this sophisticated abode in East Nashville. In this modern block of homes, wooden facades and decking bring a rustic edge to the exteriors. This warmth and richness continues indoors in the open-plan living space, where a neutral colour scheme is complemented by a mid-century leather armchair, wicker decor on the walls, and woven dining chairs. We love the striking, industrial-style lighting hanging above the dining table – and it’s even better when you’re being served up a feast here from the private chef. After dinner, put some Johnny Cash on the record player and wind down with a tumbler of bourbon. If you’re heading out in the morning, take a thirteen-minute drive to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum – a rite of passage for a stay in Nashville (even though you’ve got the acoustic guitar at home for your own singalongs). Or just over a twenty-minute drive, you can escape the metropolis at Radnor Lake State Park. With hiking trails and plenty of wildlife, it's a world away from the bright lights of Music City.
