While there are plenty of luxury chalets in the French Alps, this home goes above and beyond to offer a serious VIP experience. Six minutes on foot from Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, you could head into town for bars, restaurants, and essentials, but this chalet is so incredibly well catered for, that we don’t think you’ll need to bother. Of course first we have to mention the slopes. You’re a twenty-minute drive from Val Thorens, but your personal driver will ferry you to and fro whenever you please. Inside your wooden heaven, get comfy on stylish, modern furniture with a rustic vibe. Beamed ceilings, faux fur throws, a log-burning fire, and French doors opening onto a fresh terrace are just some of the typical ski-home features. But after removing your gear and drying off in your own boot room, the chalet manager will be on hand to sort out anything you need, as well as offering champagne and canapés to celebrate your arrival. What we really love are the post-ski luxuries – a heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, home cinema, and private chef. Rendezvous later in the dining room for a dinner with wine-pairing and local cheeses.
