Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Decked out in shades of sunshine yellow, this home is a cheerful respite from the hustle and bustle. You'll find it right next to Balham underground station, so there's no doubt that getting to and from the city is a breeze – you can be in Charring Cross in twenty minutes. There are lovely cafes, charming pubs and green spaces to explore, with Wandsworth Common and Clapham Common both a twenty-minute stroll away. It's also a popular neighbourhood for families, so if you're travelling with little ones, you'll be well looked after here – and the home itself is ideal for a family, too. Inside you'll find plenty of books and toys to keep kids occupied, plus lots of comfortable seating for everyone to sprawl out, including a cosy window seat. We adore all the period details, like the marble fireplaces and corniced ceilings, which are given a modern lift with bold coloured rugs and characterful prints. Home chefs will love whipping up meals in the sleek kitchen, which are best accompanied with a bottle of wine at the dining table. After dinner, catch the last of the day's sun in the enclosed garden, brimming with the fresh scent of lavender and leafy olive trees, then unwind with a soak in the master bathtub before bed. Best of all, the roof terrace off the master bedroom has views over the South London rooftops – we think it’s the perfect spot to relax with a morning coffee before heading out for the day.

About Balham

Balham might not be smack bang in the centre of London but it's got charm aplenty and has recently become something of a south London hotspot. Offering a vibrant nightlife scene with cocktail bars, old-school pubs, and brunch spots (for those partial to a 'bottomless'), Balham is a great place to spend your city nights.
