Step into history at this charming Edinburgh apartment, built in 1890 and boasting over 120 years of character. As expected with a Victorian building, it is showing some signs of wear, so please take extra care when climbing the stairs to reach this second-floor pad. Whether you're a solo traveller or a duo seeking an Edinburgh base, this apartment offers the perfect balance of comfort and convenience. The location puts you just a short walk away from Calton Hill, Princes Street, and Waverley Station. While public transport is easily accessible, the city is easily explored on foot, with charming cobblestone streets awaiting your discovery.

Home truths

The apartment is on the second floor of an old building, so there is no lift. The host asks you to be careful on the stairs as they are worn down in places and you should not drag any luggage up the steps to prevent damage and noise.

Although you will see a tumble dryer in the kitchen, it does not work and is disconnected for safety reasons – an airer is available for small loads of laundry.

Please note the property is fitted with a noise-detection device.

About Hillside

Edinburgh is a city built around seven hills, but Hillside is not as steep as the name suggests. At the east end of the New Town and nestled just below Calton Hill, it’s quieter than the historic centre but still within walking distance from all the main points of interest. It’s fast becoming one of the most sought-after property locations in Edinburgh thanks to its central location and its aesthetically-pleasing...
