With walking trails, cycling paths and the rolling Suffolk countryside on your doorstep, this cosy bolthole is the perfect retreat for an outdoorsy couple. Inside, it's delightfully cosy – the layout is studio-style, but exposed beams smartly divide the space and add a rustic touch. We love how peaceful it feels here – there's nothing like waking up to birdsong each morning and stargazing on summer nights. After a long day, warm frosty toes in front of the electric fire, rest tired feet on the comfy armchairs and rustle up a delicious dinner in the blue kitchen. When the weather is nice, head into the sunny garden for afternoon teas and evening barbecues, or lace up your hiking shoes and enjoy an amble through the surrounding farmland. If you fancy a change of pace, Framlingham is a fifteen-minute drive away – head there for cafes, shops, pubs and Framlingham Castle – but if you'd prefer to spend the day at the seaside, Dunwich is only a half-hour away by car.
