Live out your own fairy tale at this delightful cottage seemingly frozen in time (in all the right ways). Tucked away in Long Melford, one of Suffolk's most beautiful villages, cottages don’t come more quintessentially English, or charming than this. Painted a blushing shade of pink, this is a romantic retreat to enjoy whatever the season. There’s a cosy wood burner in the sitting room to take the chill off winter breaks, and an established country garden to enjoy during the summer. When the sun shines, take a glass of something chilled out to the swing chair and fire up the barbecue, there's no better place to be. Climb the snaking staircase and you’ll find the prettiest bedroom we ever did see, with exposed beams, vaulted ceilings and a French armoire bed at its heart. Should you ever be tempted to leave your love nest, Long Melford High Street is just a short walk away with its many boutiques, antique shops for a spot of retail therapy, and cafes, pubs and restaurants for when thoughts turn to food. For culture lovers, Kentwell Hall and Melford Hall are within easy reach too.
