The clean, curated feel of this apartment is in keeping with the neighbourhood – Le Marais is home to Paris’ art and culture scene. Narrow, cobbled streets worthy of a postcard are packed with bijou art galleries, niche museums (the Picasso Museum is around the corner), pavement cafés and fabulous bistros. It’s also just a twenty-minute walk to Notre Dame in the heart of the city. Azure and cerulean velvet furniture pop against gallery-white walls in the apartment, as though the palette was taken from Picasso’s blue period. In the kitchen, sleek black units are livened up with tumbling pot plants adding a splash of greenery. The largest of the bedrooms comes with an open corner bath for a luxurious soak. Peering out the big window in the living room, you’ll see a leafy street buzzing with pavement cafés below.
