Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
There’s no two ways about it, this apartment is overflowing with character. Swathes of material (faux and real) and a swirling cloud pattern on the living room wall make it feel as though you’ve stepped into a 17th-century fresco. Everything, from the marble-style bathtub to the dining table and cloud-white sofas seems like it’s been hewn from the light stone walls. Uplighting at every turn gives the place an ethereal quality too. And then there’s the location. Just outside the Spanish Steps, you’ve got the heart of Rome on your doorstep. The surrounding streets are filled with local trattoria serving plates of carbonara and tiramisu, gelaterias and boutique shops. If you want a break from the city buzz, head to the landscaped gardens of Villa Borghese just a five-minute walk away.

Spagna is, perhaps unsurprisingly, focussed around the eponymous Piazza di Spagna. Along with the Trevi fountain, it’s one of the most visited sights in the entire city. Things weren’t always so auspicious – in the 16th century, the area was Rome’s red light district, but today it’s better known for the vine-covered romance of Via Margutta, home to Gregory Peck's impoverished journalist in Roman Holiday. This is not the place...
