A treat for families who fancy escaping the real world and playing farmer for a while, this charming cottage is part of a small complex of converted farm buildings. Set just a few minutes drive from the pretty village of Godshill, it's on a 45-acre arable farm with rural views every way you look. Beautifully modernised with a crisp new finish, it's still an undeniably ancient and rustic structure, with oak beams and vaulted ceilings to the first floor. Stone floors and a contemporary log burning stove greet you in the open-plan living space, and there's a farmhouse dining table and a fully-equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and quality linens can be found upstairs, along with a bathroom, while another room downstairs has a sofa bed that means it can be used as another bedroom with an en-suite or snug for watching TV. Step out into the private garden and there's a dining table and fire pit – and for an extra fee, why not hire a hot tub from the host too? Out and about on the farm, you'll meet the friendly chickens, ducks and pigs, and buy essentials from the little on-site shop. And if you're fans of animals, you're just a short drive from the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary too.
