Housed in a 19th-century former townhouse, this beautiful apartment in Edinburgh’s West End has been lovingly and carefully curated with comfort and relaxation in mind. Your host, Jonny, is an architect who personally designed the split level layout of the home, not only providing a luxurious space to unwind but equally highlighting the stunning period features, including the Georgian crown moulding, ornamental fireplace and double-height sash windows. On the ground floor, two cosy armchairs invite you to kick back with a wee dram and a book from the shelves, while the large wooden dining table beckons celebratory dinners and hearty breakfasts ahead of a day of sightseeing. We love the mezzanine living space with its bespoke glass flooring and the sofa that’s perfectly positioned for movie nights thanks to the ceiling’s concealed screen and the Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Fire TV and Netflix streaming options. There’s a desk here for two should you need to catch up on work, while back downstairs, the bedroom guarantees a wonderfully peaceful night’s sleep. Outside of your home, you’re just a five-minute walk from Princes Street, a fifteen-minute stroll from Edinburgh Castle and just seven minutes on foot from picturesque Dean Village.

About New Town

Edinburgh’s New Town isn’t new at all – it’s a glorious example of 18th-century Georgian town planning and architecture that has rightfully earned its UNESCO World Heritage Status. There’s a lot more than beautiful architecture on offer here though. Located in the centre of the city, it’s a short walk from Waverley Station, and well serviced by public transport. Princes Street, George Street, St Andrew’s Square, and the West End...
