This bright one-bedroom home has a stylish modern look. With light wooden floors, wicker chairs, lanterns a and a bright yellow wall in the bedroom, it has a lively and playful attitude that goes well with its clean lines. We love the giant glass windows that make up the main wall of the living area and the way they bring light into the whole flat – eat breakfast at the square wooden table or drink your coffee on the grey velvet sofa while the morning filters in. You’ll find a kitchen big enough for preparing meals and a cosy bedroom cove to tuck away in at the end of the night. Plus, the bathroom is freshly redone with white subway tile and sparkling new fixtures. When it’s time to explore, set out to wander along the beautiful Canal Saint-Martin, a three-minute walk away. The neighbourhood is full of bars, boulangeries and restaurants worth sampling. When you’re ready to sightsee, the metro station is just a five-minute walk away and will connect you all over the city.

Canal Saint Martin is to Paris what Williamsburg once was to New York or Shoreditch was to London. This part of town still retains a certain grittiness that has been largely lost from the abovementioned counterparts - gentrification is undoubtedly on its way but the area still feels authentic and edgy so get there before this changes!
