You’ll have Lisbon’s historical centre at your feet in this wonderfully located apartment. Housed in a typical azulejo-clad building in the city’s Chiado neighbourhood, this home is bathed in spectacular light thanks to its large windows. Splashes of colour in the myriad artworks create a fun and vibrant atmosphere, best enjoyed at the dining table over coffee and pastéis de nata each morning or on the inviting sofa with a glass of wine after a day of exploring. We love the bedroom’s traditional “Andorinha” (swallow) ornaments on the walls that look like they’re flying above you as you fall into a dreamy night’s sleep. Outside of your home, you’ve got countless sights to explore, including the historic Alfama’s Castelo de São Jorge (a twenty-minute walk), Praça do Comércio ( a ten-minute walk) and the fascinating Museu do Fado (a twenty-minute walk). The famous Tram 28 also passes right outside your door to whisk you up and down Lisbon’s most scenic hilly streets. Factor in the shops, fado bars and restaurants outside your door and your proximity to Bairro Alto’s bohemian nightlife scene (a four-minute walk), and you’ve got everything you need to soak up the best of Lisbon living.
