Stay in Santos, one of the oldest neighbourhoods of Lisbon, where centuries-old churches and mansions have been carefully maintained. This home has its own regality to it – namely the spacious back courtyard with its own dining set and grill. Enjoy warm evenings with a home-cooked dinner alfresco, or gaze up at the stars with a bottle of Vinho Verde. Back inside, you’ll find a sparkling modern home with light wood floors and lots of white walls and cabinets – it gives the space a crisp, clean finish. The dining area is sociable, with a breakfast counter and table sharing the space with the large grey sofa. The bedrooms are inviting too, bright and tidy, with minimalist décor and colourful throws. You’ll be just a two-minute walk from the Ancient Art Museum and just eight minutes from the banks of the Tagus River. Behind Santos Square, just a ten-minute walk away, you’ll find the narrow picturesque streets of Madragoa, home to traditional taverns and petiscos restaurants – perfect for a delicious dinner not too far from home.
