If you’re looking for incredible views of Lisbon, then you’ve got to head to an uphill neighbourhood. And it doesn’t get much better than the highest point of the entire city, Graça. But for an unparalleled viewpoint, you can take it even further, to this lofty fourth-floor apartment. Spacious and bright throughout, this home has rich wooden floors and red feature walls that make it feel particularly warm and welcoming. We also love the range of colour in other rooms – pistachio green tiles and candy pink paint make for a beautiful combination. In the original stone alcove, cook up something special for your friends while they gather round the dining table listening to jazz on the sound system, or recline in the vintage rocking chair. And finally, the views. You’ve got huge French windows in the living space and bedroom, wide windows in the dining room, and two balconies to choose from. Pretty much wherever you turn, you’ll be able to gaze out to striking, colourful views of the entire city. Try and spot the Castelo de São Jorge – you might want to take a twenty-minute walk down the hill one day to see it close-up.

About Graça
Graça is the highest point of Lisbon's seven hills, sitting just above the beautiful Alfama. You’ll find some of the best views of the city in this neighbourhood. Wind your way slowly up and down the cobbled streets, pausing at viewpoints to take in the pastel-painted walls of Alfama. The downside to the incredible views is the steepness of Graça – we advise taking it steady and calling in to local bars and restaurants for regular energy-boosts. As the sun sets over Lisbon, you’ll find your efforts in finding the perfect terrace worthwhile.
