Ideally placed between Lisbon’s Graça and Mouraria neighbourhoods, this bright and welcoming apartment is an ideal base for those looking to get the most out of the city’s history and culture. Inside, wood floors, white walls and bold colours in the furnishings and tropical-inspired art give the living room plenty of character, with glass doors leading out onto an enclosed patio space. Decked out with a table and chairs and framed by climbing plants, this is the ideal spot to enjoy coffee and pastéis de nata before a day of sightseeing. With a sleek kitchen and two beautiful bedrooms, each boasting its own Juliet balcony, this home is all about giving you space to enjoy your beautiful neighbourhood. Outside of your home, the Miradouro da Senhora do Monte with its wide-sweeping views of the city is a five-minute walk away, the Santa Justa Lift is a fifteen-minute stroll and the red rooftops of the Alfama district and its São Jorge Castle are thirteen minutes away on foot.

About Mouraria

With street performers, Fado shows and lots of unmissable sights, Mouraria should be at the top of your list. A trip through its narrow streets is like stepping back in time, revisiting the rich cultural background even before the great earthquake of 1755. In fact, the story goes that Fado was born in Mouraria, and it’s since made its way to the UNESCO World Heritage list. Although it’s quite central, this neighbourhood has a strong local community and an independent art scene that will show you a side of old, nostalgic Lisbon that you won’t find anywhere else.
