Spacious and central, this characterful apartment in Porto really caught our eye due to its stylish interiors and location. From here, many of the city's cultural attractions are within a five-minute walk – from Carmo Church to Clerics Tower to Livaria Lello, the stunning art nouveau bookstore that inspired Harry Potter's library. Back home, it's a muddle of vibrant patterns, colours and textures that create somewhat of a chic 70s vibe – that we really love. While the decor adds interest, there's plenty of rustic Porto charm here too, with an exposed stone wall in the kitchen-diner and a delightful little balcony that's perfect for a morning cup of coffee. Although fairly small, the apartment has been cleverly designed to make the living space feel much bigger than it actually is – there's plenty of room for a romantic couples getaway. You're surrounded by shops, restaurants and hidden wine bars, plus a variety of beautiful gardens, including the scenic Parque das Virtudes nearby. With so much outside of your building and only a fifteen-minute stroll to the Sao Bento Station, this is a great spot for those looking to soak up the culture and meet the lively locale.
