Housed in an old Victorian hotel, this property is one of three converted flats which more recently has been converted into three flats. Before its refurbishment, the hotel once hosted prestigious guests including Joan Collins and Sir Thomas Lipton. Now a unique apartment, the home offers a vast amount of space for guests to enjoy across three floors. We particularly love the top floor 'viewing tower', separated into two rooms, you'll find a charming sitting area from which to lap up panoramic views of the estuary, across the historical Cinque Port town, Mersea Island, Point Clear, St Osyth and beyond to the East coast. The rest of the flat presents a cosy cottage-like ambience, with traditional features preserved throughout. Modern furnishings contrast elegantly with antique pieces such as the four-poster bed and wooden dining table – offering a combination of style, practicality and above all –comfort. It's safe to say this home is in keeping with its charming surroundings as Brightlingsea is a hidden gem for those seeking a seaside escape that is off the beaten track. From here, you'll be just half an hour away from bigger beaches, the city and castle of Colchester, and the train to London. Not to mention, its surrounding natural beauty. For those who enjoy outdoor activities such as sailing, walking, cycling and photography, then this town is the place for you.
