This blue bungalow is the perfect getaway for two, with high A-frame ceilings, sand-coloured wooden floors and bright living spaces. We'd describe the aesthetic as contemporary coastal – rattan lighting fixtures, leafy houseplants and plush furnishings bring a beachy bohemian air, while the sleek kitchen and crisp, clean lines are elegant and modern. After a long day on the coast, snuggle up in front of the electric fire for a cosy night at home. If you're in the mood to cook, the blue and yellow kitchen has everything you'll need, so let your culinary skills run wild. On sunny days, enjoy your feast in the garden, which is shielded from the main house by clever bamboo screens. There's even a desk in the bedroom if you need to do some remote working. But our favourite part is the location – you're just a fifteen-minute walk from Deal Castle Beach and the wonderful Kent coastline. Enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many seaside restaurants, shop the local boutiques, browse the many art galleries and enjoy a romp around Deal Castle. With the rest of the White Cliffs Country easily accessed by car, it's the ideal spot for a romantic retreat by the sea.

The owners live on-site and can be as hands-off (or on) as you need – there's plenty of privacy between the bungalow and main house
While bath towels and linen are provided, you'll need to bring your own beach towels
There's parking for one car on the drive – we think a car is needed if you'd like to explore further afield
Please respect the neighbours and keep noise to a minimum between 11pm and 9am
The road is one of the main roads in Deal so you may hear some occasional street noise
This is not the prettiest part of Deal but you're in close proximity to the seafront and shops
