If you're craving the great outdoors, there can't be many better options than this North Tahoe apartment. The home itself exudes rustic charm, with a stone-trimmed fireplace, a wood-panelled kitchen and a private balcony with treetop views. Pleasant as it is, however, we have a feeling you won't actually be spending much time inside. The ski lifts and The Village at Northstar resort can be reached in ten minutes on foot, so you can be carving up the slopes in no time at all. Guests also get two passes to use the resort's communal amenities, which include a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, tennis courts, and a golf course. If you ever fancy a change of scenery at any point, the banks of Lake Tahoe can be reached in a quarter of an hour in the car, while Truckee's historic downtown can be reached in the same amount of time in the opposite direction.
