Bursting with 18th-century character and surrounded by lush countryside, this home is an idyllic escape that's sure to please the whole family. Inside, a wood-burning fireplace, delightful window seats and a mix of antique, contemporary and shabby-chic furniture create a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. A collection of board games and books will keep everyone occupied on rainy days – while parents lounge in front of the fire, kids can watch their favourite shows in the separate TV/playroom. We're smitten with the country-style kitchen, which has everything you need to prepare delicious feasts using local ingredients. Start the day with breakfast in the dining nook, admiring the beautiful views, then head out to the two-acre garden for some fresh air. Kick a football around, play a game of croquet, watch the children let loose on the swing set or just lounge in the sun with a drink in hand. As the evening draws to a close, make use of the barbecue or toast marshmallows around the firepit. When you're in the mood for adventure, escape through the garden gate for a long walk on the public footpaths. There are plenty of pretty Cotswolds villages within driving distance, and the host can arrange... experiences like at-home chefs to make your trip extra special. Trust us – you'll make lots of memories here.
