Just a short drive from all the action of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, this striking loft apartment is part of a pretty, period building. Recently converted and with all its fittings still sparkling like new, it's a bright and modern home that will prove particularly popular with fans of design. Architectural features like the steeply angled ceilings, skylights and structural beams, all painted startling white, make for a home that's far from ordinary. There's a private parking lot for the building but when we visited construction was limiting the spaces
There are limited cable channels but an HDMI cord is provided for streaming
There is a lift but it is currently out of use – check with the host
You'll be using a shared entrance to the side of the building, through the gated parking lot
It's worth noting this isn't a particularly residential neighbourhood
