Rolling hills and gorgeous views are on your doorstep at this rural retreat for two. A former barn, you'll find this home situated in the picturesque hamlet of Southend, only a fifteen-minute drive from Henley-on-Thames and right next to a working farm. Horses graze in the fields behind the garden and walking trails ideal for afternoon rambles pass right through the lush countryside. Start your mornings enjoying a cup of coffee at the outdoor picnic table, waking up in the fresh air and admiring the scenery. Then, after a hearty breakfast prepared in the sleek kitchen, lace up your boots and head out for a walk – we recommend trekking through the valleys and up to the windmill or heading to the local pub for lunch and pint, about a twenty-minute stroll away. In the evenings, come home and rest your tired feet on the comfy sofa with a glass of local wine and your favourite show streaming on the TV – the host provides complimentary Netflix access. Finish the night off with an alfresco tipple and meal under the stars before snuggling up for a good night's sleep in the cosy bed. If you're looking for a romantic spot to switch off and get in touch with nature, we think this will do nicely.
