This modern apartment in the heart of Henley-on-Thames is a romantic retreat for two or an idyllic getaway for one. As soon as you arrive, drop your bags and pop open the complimentary bottle of fizz. Recline with a glass on the sofa or take it out onto the patio if the weather is on your side. If you’re a dab hand in the kitchen, you’ve all the accoutrements needed for putting together your go-to dish. But if you’d prefer to leave it to the professionals, there’s a number of cosy cafés and tasty eateries, including two Michelin Guide recommended restaurants, just five minutes from your doorstep. Head along the riverbank, following the Regatta course to a quiet stretch of water for picnics in the sunshine. Return home in the late afternoon to get cosy in the dressing gown and slippers provided, winding down, ready for an early night snuggled up in the 400 thread-count sheets.
