It might surprise you to learn that this stone cottage dates back to the sixteenth century. Although there are a few clues as to its impressive heritage dotted about — the inglenook fireplace complete with a log-burning stove and the wooden beams on the ceiling, for example — the bulk of the interior feels pretty modern. The country-style kitchen has been finished in a pristine shade of cream, while the roll-top tub in the master bathroom feels particularly elegant. Out the front door, the home benefits from a leafy courtyard garden with a dining table and a swing seat, as well as lots of beautiful countryside waiting to be discovered nearby. Footpaths heading into ancient woodland start close to the address, as does the Red Squirrel cycle path that runs along an old railway line. Shanklin Beach only takes seven minutes to reach in the car, too.
