Nestled away underneath an oak tree in the middle of the New Forest, this rural escape is as cute as they come. Inside the loft space, there's a rustic simplicity that manages to avoid back-to-basics territory. The living area, for instance, with its oak floor and a blue velvet sofa will see you through many a cosy evening, while the bedroom is given a bit of glamour with a sparkling chandelier. Outside, there's a small garden and patio complete with a barbecue for when the sun makes an appearance. When that's the case, there are plenty of outside excursions to embark upon nearby. Guests can start on forest walks straight out of the garden gate and it's possible to hire bikes from Burley village — about twenty-five minutes' walk away — if you want to pick up the pace a little. The White Buck gastropub is only a sixteen-minute walk away too for when you've earned some refreshment.

About The New Forest
Hot off the press – the New Forest isn’t actually new. Founded in 1079 by William the Conqueror as his personal hunting ground, the New Forest became a national park in 2005. And today, this swathe of green landscape where deer and wild ponies graze freely is one of the most idyllic escapes in the UK. There are plenty of cute-as-a-button villages dotted throughout the region – our favourites include...
