Incredibly cosy and brimming with character, we wouldn't expect anything less from this home in Edinburgh's historic Stockbridge. Step through the front door and you'll find parquet flooring, large traditional windows and warm colours everywhere you look. The sitting room is utterly welcoming, with a squishy Chesterfield sofa, plush velvet armchair and Scottish trinkets lining the shelves. It's the perfect spot to put your feet up, read a book and unwind with a glass of scotch. When you're feeling peckish, pad into the kitchen and rustle up a meal on the range cooker – you can pick up ingredients from the local grocers and delis. Pull up a chair and tuck into your fare around the rustic dining table, then finish the evening off with a soak in the lavish rolltop bath. Feeling completely relaxed and content, climb into the comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. Location-wise, Stockbridge is charming in its own right, filled with local bakeries, boutiques and pubs. Enjoy a stroll along the Water of Leith, making your way towards the idyllic Dean Village, about fifteen minutes on foot. For shopping and trendy bars, head towards New Town (a twenty-minute walk), while Edinburgh Castle and the... celebrated Old Town are reachable in half an hour.
