Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
We think this period home in Grassmarket has one of the best views in the city and the proof is in the imposing shape of Edinburgh Castle that you look up at from the comfort of your sofa. Sat at the base of the great Castle Rock itself, this home couldn't be much closer to the city's number one attraction. Located in one of Edinburgh's oldest streets, it's in a beautiful building, surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Inside, character features include an impressive cast iron fireplace, wood floors and tall windows. Furniture is classical and elegant, with a scattering of antique pieces and vintage art, but the kitchen is impeccably modern with clean lines and all the appliances you could need. Originally where royal horses were kept, the neighbourhood is busy and thriving. Right at the heart of things, you'll just have to head up nearby Grannie's Green Steps to get to the castle.
