We defy anyone not to be instantly smitten with this gorgeous villa on the northeast coast of Crete. Both the interior and exterior are dominated by clean lines and modernist design, and there's a strong Scandi influence in most of the furnishings. There are several balconies that have a breathtaking view of the sea and mountains on the island of Kalydon, plus a swimming pool down at ground level for when you want to cool off from the Mediterranean heat — and a Jacuzzi if you ever want to get warmed up again. The host can help make your stay extra special by arranging yacht reservations, water sports and scuba diving trips, as well as for a private chef to visit the home. As you can probably guess from the panorama, the sea isn't too far away and there are beaches that start as nearby as six minutes' walk away. As well as that, bars and restaurants in the local town of Elounda take a similar amount of time to reach.
