Founded in 71 AD, you might say that York is a rather old city. With Romans and Vikings both having staked claim to this glorious gem of Yorkshire, you’ll find historical intrigue everywhere you turn. However, an eight-minute walk from the incredibly well-preserved medieval shopping street, The Shambles, this studio apartment offers an altogether more modern side of the city. In a recently renovated development by the riverside, the setting is truly peaceful. You’ve got plenty of spots for relaxing inside too – try the huge, plush, Chesterfield sofa for size, or kick back in the cushioned bamboo armchair. A trendy exposed brickwork wall frames an enormous, arched sash window, illuminating the stylish living area and its quartz-topped kitchen. With a Klimt canvas up on the wall, as well as dainty plants placed around the home, plenty of thought has gone into the decor.
