One of York's typical period buildings, the interior of this home is surprisingly modern and luxurious – having been recently renovated. With a business on the ground floor, you'll be walking up a set of private stairs to reach your apartment. An excellent base for a stay in this historic city, you'll have an open-plan living space with comfy seating, a dining table for four and a sleek new kitchen all kitted out with everything you'll need. Two big bedrooms mean nobody will be drawing the short straw and two excellent bathrooms mean there's no need to form a queue for the shower each morning. But the real bonus here is the outside space. At the back of the building, you'll have a private terrace and garden, with an outdoor table and chairs, a barbecue and a further seating area – perfect for summer evenings. With a bakery on the ground floor and a pub a few doors down, you won't have to go far for refreshments and treats, and the city centre is just a ten-minute walk away.
