To the north of the city, this pretty Victorian terraced cottage is a super stylish place to stay with period features, trendy interiors and comfy furnishings. Shuttered windows, vintage-style radiators and cast iron fireplaces blend with bold, modern colour schemes to make this place feel like home from the moment you walk in. There's a sociable living space with a cosy seating area and a dining table, leading through to a smart new kitchen with everything you'll need for cooking at home. The bedrooms are both of a good size, so nobody will get the short straw, and we love the on-trend bathroom – especially its freestanding bathtub. Not exactly boasting a garden, there's a small courtyard nonetheless – somewhere to get some fresh air over a cup of coffee in the morning. From here it's an easy walk into the city centre, with all its cafes, restaurants and tourist attractions.
