Step inside, and the first things to catch your eye will undoubtedly be the exposed brick and massive beams that point to the building's past, while the zinc facade brings this early-twentieth-century building firmly into the present day. This industrial-chic design continues through into your double-king studio, where furniture crafted from metal and wood appears as bedside drawers, the desk, and the bathroom sink. On the ground floor, you'll find a local institution, Gnocchi. It'll be no surprise that this place specialises in handmade gnocchi, served with a selection of sauces. You can eat in, but we'd recommend taking your food to go and eating up on the rooftop terrace with stunning views of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. In recent years, the Queen Village neighbourhood has transformed into one of Philadelphia's most desirable. It's easy to explore on foot and brimming with chic boutiques, fashionable restaurants, and cool coffee shops. Located around a mile from downtown and surrounded by gig venues, there's plenty of action right on your doorstep.

The Declaration of Independence was signed here, as were the Constitution and the Gettysburg Address. With endless national sites of importance, from colonial buildings where founding fathers gathered to discuss the state of the colonies, to...
