This stylish little studio apartment is right in the heart of historic Annecy. From your doorstep, you can step out into streets lined with wooden-shuttered buildings, where cafés spill out onto the pavement. An alpine town, Annecy is flanked by snow-capped mountains and perhaps the most picturesque spot is the stone Palais in the centre of the Le Thiou River – the view of which is best enjoyed from the riverside restaurants and gelaterias, a five-minute walk from this apartment. Although it’s a studio, the apartment itself feels spacious and it has plenty of character courtesy of the exposed brick wall and hardwood floor. A wall of windows lets in plenty of sunshine during the day and a room divider separates the living and bedroom area from the dine-in kitchen. There’s even a stylish, Scandinavian-esque desk if you want to work remotely. If you want to get around the compact town of Annecy in a flash, your host provides complimentary bikes for sightseeing.
