Everything is glossy and cool, from the big bathroom (complete with a decadent rainfall shower) to the comfortable bedrooms. The best part is the small terrace overlooking the snowy mountains – it's the perfect spot to enjoy a steaming mug of coffee in the mornings before grabbing your skis and hitting the slopes. Gargellen is the snowiest corner of The Alps, and though the resort is small, its quaint, sleepy charm makes it a hidden gem. When the snow is high, you'll have ski-in/ski-out access, while Schafberg Gondola is just a ten-minute walk away. During the summer, trade your skis for hiking boots and explore the blooming Alpine meadows that are straight out of The Sound Of Music. And when you don't fancy cooking, there are a few family-friendly restaurants in town to whet your appetite.
