This villa was once home to the owner's grandmother, and it retains all the cosy charm and elegance that you would expect. It's nestled in the village of Sant’Alessio, in a quiet spot where you can really settle into the Tuscan way of life. The interior is bursting with traditional details, from the chandelier to the stunning staircase, and of course there are some iconic terracotta floortiles. Budding chefs will love trying out classic Italian recipes – just like nonna used to make – in the beautiful kitchen, before serving up their creations outside on the terrace. It's the ideal spot for long, relaxed dinners, perhaps with a bottle or two of prosecco to make the evening extra special. The surrounding village has a couple of local restaurants and cafés within walking distance, and it's a perfectly peaceful area where you can truly relax. Plus, the beautiful Renaissance city of Lucca is just 3kms away – pick up a tub of gelato and spend a day strolling through the cobbled streets.
