Exposed brick walls, large windows, open floorplans, neon artwork — this home has all the ingredients of a New York loft apartment, but it's actually situated in the delightfully rural Eden Valley, between the North Pennines and the Lake District. There are quirky features galore here, from the 70s tribute positioned above the clawfoot bathtub and the swing seat hanging from the ceiling to the pipes repurposed as shelving. However, there are more than a few luxurious touches, plus what feels like acres of space — especially with only two people staying here. There's a private garden with some seating, as well as some public rights of way that run through the wider estate that you can follow for a countryside stroll. Further afield, Ullswater only takes twenty minutes to reach in the car, while the town of Penrith takes half that time.
