Between the luxury shops of Knightbridge (Harrods is a two-minute walk) and the sprawling green expanse of Hyde Park, this townhouse sits in glorious Georgian splendour. Long sash windows swathed with thick curtains and white wood-panelled walls in the living room hark back to the days of retiring to the drawing-room to discuss life’s fineries. Speaking of which, the dining room is illuminated by a sparkling chandelier and adorned with vibrant modern artworks to rival the Tate Modern collection. There’s also a music area in here, with a shining grand piano for the maestro of the group. Those working remotely can hide away in the study and the basement playroom with its ping pong table is all fun and games once the clock ticks past 5pm. Lavish and cosy bedrooms may be spread across five floors, but the home has its own lift for those with limited mobility. That’s not the only bonus though, as a little balcony sits off the drawing-room, and there’s a secluded courtyard for a breath of fresh air – a rarity in this upmarket area of central London.
