Lose yourself to Devon’s vast countryside, lakeside vistas, and sandy shores with a stay at this lodge retreat. Set deep within 250 acres of beautiful forest landscapes and perched beside the southwest’s largest freshwater lake, this home is the perfect tonic for relaxation. Spend your days roaming the forest habitats – it’s prime for building dens. Or up the ante paddleboarding or windsurfing on the lake, just a two-minute stroll away. With an equipped sailing club and activity centre, along with a high ropes course, an archery center, and fishing, you could easily while away the whole day here. Or pack up your buckets and spades and hit the coast (half an hour drive). When tummies start to rumble, there’s a lakeside café and bistro for an easy bite to eat. Or head back to the lodge – the made-for-action kitchen makes cooking a joy. While some of you rustle up a bite to eat, others can crash out beside the fire in the sociable living space and break out the board games. And there’s only one place you’ll want to be after dinner – the hot tub on the private veranda to watch the sun go down.
