Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

You'll find this cosy home in Norham, a quaint village on the banks of the River Tweed. Close to Berwick (fifteen minutes by car), Edinburgh (a forty-minute train ride from Berwick) and the Northumberland Coast (a twenty-minute drive), we think this area is perfect if you fancy countryside walks through The Borderlands, sunny days on the beach and salmon fishing in the river. There's plenty to keep you busy in town, too, with two charming pubs, an award-winning butcher and a local bakery. On Thursdays, grab fish and chips from the van and gather for a picnic on the village green (it's right across the street) or take it home to enjoy on your private patio with a bottle of local ale. Inside, the living area is cosy and warm, with an electric fireplace perfect for chilly evenings and plenty of snuggly seating. The kitchen has everything you'll need to rustle up homecooked feasts (using ingredients from the local butcher, of course), while upstairs, the two comfortable bedrooms promise a good night's sleep. We think it feels like a true home-from-home, making it an excellent option for a family getaway to the Borders.

Your host can provide a travel cot if needed

We highly recommend having a car to make the most of the area – there's free parking on the street out front

Dogs are welcome – this area has excellent paths for walking the pups, plus there's a small village green across the street

We think this home is better for a family, as the second bedroom is on the smaller side and only has single beds

About Berwickshire

A history of reivers, border raids and clashes of crowns has left castles and crumbling towers across this rural patch of the Scottish Borders. You won’t find any cities here, but the central town of Duns has a handful of restaurants and cafés to while away the days. Duns castle estate is home to woodland walks and nearby Abbey St Bathans, a cute hamlet set on a river ford, offers...
