Thanks to its film history, Notting Hill’s reputation is somewhat of a romantic dream. And staying at this home certainly helps you live that dream, located less than 300 feet from the film’s iconic Blue Door. With all the delights of colourful, vibrant Portobello Road as soon as you step outside, we imagine that dining, drinking, and shopping will be further items on your daily agenda. Fittingly, this apartment is full of character and charm to match its local surroundings. The bright orange lounge is its centrepiece – a warm and welcoming room with a traditional feel. We love the ornate plasterwork fireplace where you can cosy up on a chilly, English evening. Sip Earl Grey while you sink into the deep velvet sofa, admiring all the host’s collection of striking prints and original paintings. Pick up a coffee table book on art or interiors to while away the afternoon before slinking off into the midnight-blue bedroom. Wicker features and a fringed throw on the bedspread add a soft, homely touch to an otherwise bold and imposing space. Rest up, because the morning means heading out on a two-minute walk to the bustling Portobello Road Market.
