A real taste of Norfolk's charismatic coast, this pretty cottage is set just a five-minute walk away from the nearby sandy beach. Charming and tucked away, it's right next to part of the ruins of the former local priory, founded in the 1100s, and some of the county's famous arable fields. While the exterior is very much of its period, with a mix of brick and cobblestones and sash windows, what lies inside is a smart and modern home perfect for a family break. It's been recently renovated so everything here is sparkling new, from the wood floors to the country-style kitchen and the stylish bathroom. The big sofa is the ideal spot for relaxing after a day out walking or exploring the nearby towns of Cromer (twenty-five minutes by car) and North Walsham (ten minutes), and family meals can easily be whipped up in the kitchen. And we particularly love the big master bedroom, which feels calm and super-comfortable. Best of all, this home is dog-friendly and there's a private garden where you can sip drinks in the evening.
