Situated on a quaint cobbled street, it's easy to forget that this home is right in the heart of Kensington. With space for five guests, this three-bedroom mews home is a excellent pick for groups excited to explore London while still enjoying a bit of peace and quiet. Inside, the living room is crisp and full of light, with bright sofas adding a pop of colour and a carefully curated selection of artworks on the walls. Move through the archway, and you'll arrive in the dining room – it's a sophisticated space that's perfect for long, lazy brunches and smart dinner parties alike. There's even a piano, if you feel like organising an after-supper sing-song with your guests. A ten-minute stroll will take you to Exhibition Road, home to the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum. After you've soaked some culture, there are plenty of places to refuel in South Kensington, from cosy pubs and chic cafés to fine dining establishments. And, if you want to head into central London to catch a show, or travel to the Square Mile for work, it's easy to get around – just hop on the tube at... Gloucester Road Station.

Local guide
About Kensington
Affluent and incredibly central, Kensington is a great base for exploring London on foot. Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are on your doorstep and so are the Victoria and Albert, Science, and Natural History Museums. The streets are attractive and well maintained (grand, white stucco facades aplenty) and your neighbours will be a wealthy, conservative set. Lots of positives but probably not the place to let your hair down.
