With its Ionic style columns and grand proportions, this home has the air of a modern-day Minoan palace. Inside, this seaside mansion is adorned with art by prominent Italian artists. Ascend the striking black marble staircase and admire the Ferma Beach, sea and mountain vistas from the sumptuous bedroom suites. As well as the stunning views, you’ll find gorgeous carved wooden beds, chandeliers and marble bathrooms – we especially love the room with the slipper bath – perfect for a soak with a glass of Champagne. There’s a games room here, too, to keep everyone occupied. This villa is ideal for a group of friends or a large family, not least because it has a separate bungalow that offers added privacy for those that want it. Outside is no less impressive – spend idyllic days lounging by the pool being fed grapes, or feast alfresco on the typically Cretan specialities and wine that your lovely hosts provide as a welcome. If you want to feel the warm sands of Ferma Beach between your toes, there’s a private stairway down from this home. This place is truly a feast for the senses.
