With its prime location just a five-minute walk from the Royal Palace of Madrid, this sophisticated apartment provides an ideal base for those looking to get the most out of the city’s history and sights. Inside, exposed brick walls, wooden beams and a beautiful combination of parquet and tiled floors create an instantly welcoming impression in the open-plan living area, with plenty of light streaming in from the French doors. Open these up to reveal a private balcony – the ideal spot to enjoy your morning coffee or a sunset glass of wine. With an elegant glass dining table here too, you’ll have no trouble organising sociable Spanish soirées over homemade tapas, before retreating to the pared-back yet chic bedrooms for a wonderfully peaceful night’s sleep. Factor in the rainfall showers – as well as the dedicated desk space at your disposal – and you’ve got everything you need for a relaxing stay, whether the focus is business or pleasure. When it comes to sightseeing, make a beeline for the nearby Royal Palace and neighbouring Sabatini Gardens (a four-minute walk) or stroll around bustling Plaza Mayor (a ten-minute walk) for some truly stunning architecture. You’re also just five minutes away on foot from Gran Vía’s shops and a three-minute walk from Plaza de España.
